PP2102-04 : PS2 Keyboard Encoder

General Description

The PP2102-04 microcontroller is dedicated to a keyboard encoder, specially designed for IBM PC AT and all compatible machines. The PP2102-04 controller all scan codes, three LEDs status, scan timing and communications between the keyboard and PC. It is easy to impliement a high performance, low cost keyboard with the minimal external components.

Using the PP2102 design approach, the fllowing peripherais were integrated with the 8051 core :
-Five configurable I/O ports (32 pins)
-18 bit-programmable pins for external interrupts
-One 16-bit timer /counter with four mode

The PKC02 is versatile microcontroller that can be used in a wide range of general purpose applications.
It is especially suitable for use as a keyboard controller and available in are 40-pin DIP and SDIP , 44 QFP packages.
